Kgabo is a seasoned executive with experience in different sectors including energy, financial services, information technology and mining. has also served on several boards of companies. He has an MSc in Engineering Business Management, and two degrees in Industrial Psychology.
Iesrafeel Jakoet CA(SA)
Iesrafeel has held several financial positions since 2007, gaining experience in financial and IT audits, statutory and legal requirements, B-BBEE, financial reporting and performance improvement consulting. He holds a Master’s in Development Finance from the Stellenbosch Business School.
Martin has 3 decades of experience across various fields and has a sterling financial background. He has experience and an understanding all aspects of governance, internal controls, annual financial statements, financial accounts, financial reporting, IFRS, compliance and risk. Martin holds a B.Compt degree and is an AGA(SA).
Independent Non-Executive Director
Fatima-Joyce has traversed the full mining business circle from underground and opencast operations, projects to human resources, internal and external communications, social enterprise development / corporate social investment, investor relations and business development at BHP Billiton Energy Coal South Africa, Optimum Coal Holdings, Beacon Hill Resources and Minas Moatize Coal in Mozambique. Her charismatic character and strong communication skills differentiates her as she speaks seven languages.
Consulting Mining Engineer
Phillip obtained his Mine Manager’s Certificate of Competence in 1993.
He has over 40 years’ experience in the mining industry, working in positions ranging from a General Miner to a General Manager.
Phillip worked for Rustenburg Platinum, DRD Gold, Mintails and Sibanye Gold, to name a few.
He has been working in mines representing different commodities and work environments.
He brings deep insights and hands on experience to the SSC Group, complementing the current set of competencies and strengthening its focused mining capabilities.

Kenneth is a registered professional geologist with over ten years experience in the mining industry, having worked on both underground and opencast mining. He has held senior positions in various world-class companies within South Africa and of note are Exxaro Resources, Sasol Mining, Sumo Coal and Xstrata Coal SA.
His field of expertise is in exploration management both green and brownfields projects, mining production in operating mines focusing on reserve optimization, geological condition forecast, quality control, geological mapping, Geological Modelling, Contract mining, mine planning and Resources and Reserves Reporting according to the SAMREC and JORC code of practice.
His experience spans strategy, business improvement, business optimization and operational excellence strategies.
SSC Non-Executive Director – Redpath Mining
Velile is the former CEO of Fraser Alexander and serves as a non-executive director on the board of Redpath Mining, representing the SSC Group. Vehile obtained his B.Tech (Mining) and received his Mine Manager’s Certificate both in Metalliferous Mines. He is a seasoned mining professional with over 20 years of experience. His career has been concentrated in Business Management, Business Development, Business re-engineering and high technology mining.
He has worked in the mining and contracting Industry as Mine Manager, and is currently Head of Strategy at Impala Platinum. He has experience in turn-around strategy of the business which included repositioning for growth, restructuring the business and implementing a new operating system and model.
Group Co-Ordinator: Socio Economic Development
Lisa-Lou obtained her BA degree in International Relations and Sociology at Monash University, Australia, in 2019.
At 24-years-old, Lisa-Lou’s passion for people led her to work at the United Nations Association of Australia, at Vietnam English centres, as part of the UN Sustainable Development goals, R&A Strategic Communications, to name a few. She consequently ventured into establishing Eagle – I Digital – a digital marketing agency – where she aims to contribute to the success and growth of the SSC Group through digital marketing initiatives and activations.
Melody has over 20 years of financial work experience in the financial services, freight, financial operations management, construction and explosives industries.
Melody brings a wealth of financial knowledge, skills and expertise to the mining sector and is efficient in offering strategic solutions to complex business challenges and issues.
Her extensive experience is substantiated by multiple financial qualifications which she has successfully achieved over the years and is currently strengthening her academia, pursuing a BCom Financial Accounting degree.

Martin Beukes has over 36 years of mining and safety experience. He holds S.A Mine Overseers Certificate Of Competency. S.A Blasting Certificate S.A Banksman/Onsetter Certificate and has various health and safety qualifications such as NEBOSH International Safety Officers Certificate NOSA SAMTRAC Safety Officers Certificate ,Diploma COMSOC 2 Safety Officers Certificate/ Auditors Certificate OHSAS 18001 Auditors Certificate ISO 14001 Auditors Certificate ISO 9001 Implementation Certificate Advance OHS Act Certificate IRCA Risk Assessment Certificate NOSA HIRA Certificate NOSA Incident Investigation L3 Certificate.

Lethabo has more than 7 years experience in the Human Resources fraternity, having previously worked for mining contractors as a HR generalist.
Lethabo has been involved with partnering with businesses by providing efficient HR services in the different fields of HR including recruitment & talent management, employee relations/wellness, training & development , HR administration, employee engagement & performance management systems.
Lethabo has a Baccalaureus Technologiae in Human Resources Management and National Diploma in Human Resources Management.
